Members of the Hindi film industry gathered to celebrate the best of Bollywood in 2017 at the 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards 2018, which took place on January 20th at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai. The starry night was organized by Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan of Bollywood, and his good friend and filmmaker Karan Johar put it on stage.
While “Hindi Medium” received the award for best actor and best actor in a leading role for the impeccable performance of Irrfan Khan. Vidya Balan won the sixth filmfare award of her career for her passionate rendition of a middle-aged housewife turned radio-jockey into “Tumhari Sulu” when she won the Black Woman’s Best Actor in a Major Role. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari won the most prestigious award of the evening by winning the “Best Director” award from “Bareilly Ki Barfi”.
